YouTube will show information panels flagging misinformation for news-related videos on its platform as part of its efforts to curb the spread of fake news. These panels would be made available when a user seeks information about the accuracy of a claim related to a news item in either Hindi or in English language. YouTube would check the query with a relevant article marked as fact check by an eligible publisher.
These are a part of Youtube's ongoing efforts to build a better news experience. YouTube plans to launch the feature in India first and expand in other countries as well very soon.
