In an attempt to create a positive environment, Instagram will restrict posts on cosmetic surgery and weight-loss products. Users below the age of 18 will not be shown the posts. Some of them would even be removed from the platform! Several studies in the past have suggested that Instagram may be a contributing factor to eating disorders and depression among teenagers.
