While Twitter and Pinterest have banned political ads from their platforms, Facebook fact-checks the ads that have been shared by political parties. It also fact-checks politicians as and when needed. The expanded ad audience data features will be rolled out in the first quarter of this year and Facebook plans to deploy the political ads control starting in the United States early this summer.
